Our Code of Ethics

Every student, practitioner, and staff member at Obsidian Institute of Aesthetics is held to a single, clearly stated standard. This Code sets out the commitments we make to every client, every learner, and the wider aesthetics community — in plain language, with no fine print and no exceptions.

The Standards We Hold Ourselves To

Our Principles

Before you enrol, before you book a treatment, and before you trust us with a moment of your training or care — these are the commitments every member of the Obsidian team has signed up to. We publish them publicly so you can hold us to them.

Client safety comes first. Every treatment and every training session begins with a full consultation, a complete medical history review, and a clearly explained consent process. If we are not certain a treatment is right for you, we will say so — and we will never proceed.
Clinical supervision by a qualified Nurse Prescriber. All advanced aesthetics and injectable procedures at Obsidian are directly oversighted by our on-site Nurse Prescriber. Students practise under medical supervision, and every patient pathway is reviewed by a registered prescriber before treatment begins.
Honest advertising and transparent pricing. What we quote is what you pay. No hidden fees, no hard-sell tactics, no false claims about results. Every price published on this website is the price you will be charged at point of treatment.
Confidentiality of client records. Medical notes, treatment photographs, and personal details are stored securely, accessed only by the practitioner directly involved in your care, and never shared with a third party without your explicit written consent.
Ongoing mentorship after qualification. Our duty to you does not end at certification. Graduates of every Obsidian programme retain access to clinical advice, case review, and ongoing business guidance for as long as they continue to practise.
A clear complaints pathway and public accountability. Anyone with a concern — client, student, or staff member — can raise it in writing to our Principal Educator and will receive a written acknowledgement within 48 hours and a substantive response within 14 days.
Continuous professional development. Every practitioner and educator on the Obsidian team commits to annual CPD, current literature review, and regular technique refinement. Training is not a one-time event — it is a permanent professional obligation.
Respect, dignity, and informed consent. Every client is treated as an individual. We will never proceed without fully informed consent, and we will never judge the question you ask. If you want a second opinion, we will help you find one.
