A full set of eyelash extensions typically lasts 6–8 weeks when maintained with regular infill appointments every 2–3 weeks. Natural lash shedding means extensions will thin over time, which is why infills are recommended to keep the look full and polished.
When applied and removed correctly by a trained technician, eyelash extensions do not damage natural lashes. Damage can occur if extensions are too heavy for your natural lashes, if you pick or pull them, or if they are applied with poor technique. You should avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24–48 hours after application while the adhesive fully cures. After that period you can shower, swim, and exercise normally — just avoid oil-based products near the lash line and don't rub your eyes.
Extensions should always be removed professionally using a specially formulated adhesive remover. Never pull or pick them off yourself as this can remove your natural lashes with them. Our technicians offer a safe removal service, and your natural lashes will be fully intact afterwards.
Many clients with sensitive eyes wear lash extensions without issue. We use a sensitive-formulation adhesive and recommend a patch test 24–48 hours before your appointment if you have a history of eye irritation or known allergies. We recommend infill appointments every 2–3 weeks to maintain a full, even look. The natural lash growth cycle means you will shed approximately 2–5 natural lashes per day, taking extensions with them. Infills replace shed extensions and keep your lash line looking fresh and uniform.
