The lash lift can also be combined with a lash tint for extra definition and depth, darkening the natural lash colour to create the appearance of mascara without any daily effort. This pairing is particularly popular among clients who want a complete, polished look with absolute minimal upkeep.
Your technician assesses your natural lash length and discusses your desired curl level to select the ideal silicone shield size for your eye shape.
Lashes and the surrounding eye area are thoroughly cleansed to remove all traces of oil, makeup, and residue, ensuring the solutions adhere correctly.
A small silicone rod or shield is gently placed on the eyelid, and your lashes are carefully combed upward and secured against the shield with an adhesive.
A specialised lifting solution is applied to the lash shaft, softening the hair structure and allowing the lashes to take on the curved shape of the shield.
A neutralising setting solution is applied to lock the new curl in place and restore the hair's structural integrity, ensuring a long-lasting result.
If a tint is included, it is applied now. A nourishing keratin serum is applied to condition and strengthen the lashes after the chemical process.
A lash lift typically lasts between 6 and 8 weeks, after which your lashes will gradually return to their natural position as the lash growth cycle progresses. The duration varies depending on individual lash growth rate, aftercare, and lifestyle factors such as regular swimming.
A lash lift works entirely with your natural lashes, curling them upward without adding any additional fibres. Eyelash extensions involve bonding artificial lashes to your natural ones to add length, volume, and drama. A lash lift requires no infills and has fewer aftercare restrictions once the 48-hour curing period has passed.
A tint is available as an add-on to the lash lift and is highly recommended for clients who want a more defined, mascara-like result. It darkens the lashes from root to tip, adding depth and colour. Please request the tint add-on when booking if you would like this included.
There is no clinical evidence that lash lift solutions are harmful during pregnancy, but we recommend informing your technician when booking. Some clients prefer to wait until after the first trimester as a precaution. A patch test can also be requested.
After the initial 48-hour aftercare period, a lash lift requires very little maintenance. Brush lashes gently daily with a spoolie, use a nourishing lash conditioning serum to keep them healthy, and avoid overly vigorous rubbing when cleansing your face. Avoid waterproof mascara if possible, as removal can stress the lash.
