Targeted specialist correction for brow SPMU that has faded, migrated, or lost definition — delivered by Obsidian's experienced practitioners at Gyle Shopping Centre, Edinburgh.
Remedial brow work is a dedicated specialist service for clients whose existing brow SPMU — microblading, powder brows, or combination brows — has healed unsatisfactorily or changed over time. It focuses specifically on the brow: shape, stroke quality, pigment tone, and symmetry, rather than being a broad correction across multiple treatment areas.
The range of issues remedial brow work addresses is wide: strokes may have blurred and lost definition; pigment may have faded to an ashy or unnatural tone; one brow may have healed differently from the other; the original shape may not suit the client's face; or the tail may have migrated. In each case, Obsidian's Edinburgh practitioner assesses exactly what is present, what is driving the problem, and what is realistically achievable through targeted correction.
Every remedial case begins with a thorough in-person consultation, photographic assessment, and open conversation about realistic outcomes. Remedial brow work is frequently achievable without requiring full removal first — but where removal would significantly improve the result, this is advised clearly. Sessions are available at both our Glasgow and Edinburgh clinics.
Detailed assessment of existing SPMU — pigment colour, depth, stroke quality, symmetry, and shape — with photographs.
Bespoke correction plan developed: colour neutralisation, shape re-mapping, removal preparation, or a combination.
Correction work applied in targeted sessions, building on previous to refine the result.
Healing assessed between sessions and after final application.
Any situation where existing brow SPMU has not healed satisfactorily, has changed over time, or requires targeted correction. Common presentations: blurred or faded strokes, asymmetrical healing, colour shifts (grey, blue, orange), or a shape that no longer suits the client.
Not necessarily. Where existing pigment has faded enough to allow direct correction, we will attempt correction without removal. Where pigment is too saturated or discoloured, saline removal first significantly improves the outcome. We advise clearly at consultation which approach is most appropriate.
Depends entirely on case complexity. Simple colour or shape corrections may require one to two sessions. Cases needing removal followed by re-pigmentation may span 6–12 months. Your Edinburgh practitioner will provide a realistic timeline at consultation.
We work to restore a natural, flattering brow colour, but exact matching of previous pigment is not always possible where the existing pigment has shifted significantly. The goal is a beautiful, natural result that suits your skin tone and features.
